The hunt develops across the map.

The system promotes eligible existing wild creatures. It does not use a fixed arena or require an event to be started.

Promotion cycle: after a map has been running for 60 seconds, the system checks every 10 minutes and may promote up to four eligible creatures, provided the map has fewer than 20 active custom Alphas. Bosses, Corrupted creatures and selected small or passive species are excluded.

Know what you are fighting.

Both variants have heavily increased health and damage, a visible aura, randomised colours and full healing when promoted. Neither can be knocked out or carried.

Custom Alpha

  • Level 250–300 when promoted
  • 1.3× creature scale and 1.5× movement speed
  • 50% configured damage reduction
  • Aggressive toward survivors and wild creatures
  • Very large aggro range — do not assume distance makes you safe
  • 10× damage to relevant structures and ignores structure resistance
  • Cannot be knocked out or picked up

Super Alpha

  • Level 450–500 when a native Alpha is promoted
  • 1.25× creature scale and 1.15× movement speed
  • 65% configured damage reduction
  • Aggressive toward survivors but does not hunt other wild creatures
  • Large aggro range and a more durable combat profile
  • 10× damage to relevant structures while respecting structure resistance
  • Cannot be knocked out or picked up
Protect other players: never kite a Custom Alpha or Super Alpha toward another survivor, tame, trap or base. This is covered by Rule 2.2.2 and may result in enforcement action.

The creature determines the payout.

Reward difficulty is based on the promoted species. Your supporter tier then increases the Gold Nugget range and number of loot rolls.

Easy
Default Classification

Any eligible species without an explicit Medium or Hard override uses the Easy reward band.

58
Medium Species

Fifty-eight configured species use the Medium Gold Nugget reward range.

35
Hard Species

Thirty-five configured high-threat species use the largest Gold Nugget reward range.

10
Chibi XP Per Kill

Every valid mounted Alpha kill awards 10 Chibi XP in addition to the Gold and loot rewards.

Separate encounter systems: Custom Alphas are promoted wild creatures and use the rewards listed on this page. They are not part of the Lusty Elite Dino System, which has its own species, effects and rewards.

Higher threats earn larger payouts.

Only your highest applicable supporter tier is used. Supporter reward tiers do not stack.

Ranges show the current minimum and maximum Gold Nugget payout for a valid kill. Values may be tuned as the system is balanced.

Every kill rolls the reward pool.

Your highest supporter tier controls how many individual loot rolls are made after a valid kill.

10%
Kibble

Kibble rewards make up one tenth of the weighted pool.

Percentages are the selection weight for each individual loot roll; they do not guarantee a fixed mix of items on every kill.

Your hunts are recorded.

Regular Custom Alpha and native Alpha kills are tracked, including eligible shared kills.

Check Your Kills

Use /llalphas in game to view your tracked Alpha kills. The command has a five-second cooldown to prevent spam.

Encounter Notices

Spawn and kill announcements are posted to Discord. Successful kills are also announced in game so the map can see when an Alpha threat has been defeated.

Prepare before you engage

Custom Alphas are dangerous to survivors, tames and structures. Bring a capable mount, keep the fight away from other players and know the cluster rules.
